About Us

Holy Smoke was founded in 1979 by Tony and Jeannie Reitz. Tony started out as a one man chimney sweeping company with the original name of Holy Smoke Chimney Sweep. In the early 80’s the company evolved into Holy Smoke Chimney Services, with the addition of a contractors license and Lopi stove sales. In 2005 Tony & Jeannie created Holy Smoke Inc and in 2014 Sean Kraemer became part owner. 2019 marked the year for Tony and Jeannie’s retirement, with Sean and his wife Hannah taking the reins.

Holy Smoke Inc currently offers sales, service, repair and installation of wood, gas, oil and pellet appliances. We carry five different stove lines, including Lopi, Fireplace X, Hearthstone, Kuma and Morso. Aside from Morso (made in Denmark), all of our stoves are made in America by companies who care about their products. We at Holy Smoke Inc try to make sure that we are providing our customers with some of the best products on the market that have high efficiencies, high performance and longevity. We carry a number of different hearth products from glass cleaner to ash buckets and also provide pre made hearth pads in a variety of colors and sizes made by Hearth Classics. We are certified and licensed to install wood, gas, pellet and oil appliances, along with servicing, maintaining, repairing and inspecting.

We are currently certified through Certified Chimney Professionals and have a Chimney sweeping certificate, relining certificate and a mastery sweep certificate. We are certified technicians through Travis Industries where we participated in factory training in gas, pellet and wood appliances. We also are certified through the American Ladder Institute. We are fully licensed, insured and bonded California Contractors with years of experience performing code compliant installations.

Sean Kraemer, current owner, was introduced to the industry in 2007 straight out of high school. He has worked hard over the years to develop long standing relationships with the citizens of Siskiyou County. His primary goal is to keep people safe, warm and happy while providing a quality service and product. Holy Smoke Inc’s employees are all people with the goal of taking care of our clients and providing a pleasant experience.
